ANC readiness for registration for local government elections
The African National Congress, has finalized its list of candidates for local government elections. The selected candidates were taken through an elaborate and intensive training programme over this long weekend to prepare them governance. This was significant to ensure that our candidates are battle ready and well prepared for the campaign. Candidates for every ward and proportional representative (PR) were trained over the long weekend and the response was very positive. We will now move to the next phase where our candidates will engage all communities on the elections platform of the ANC.
The ANC is now ready to register all its candidates over the next two days. Our readiness to register is a major milestone having taken for the first time the route of engaging our communities in selecting our candidates. This approach has added value in our drive to get our members to be more accountable and responsive to community needs. We are convinced that the approach we have taken will result in a huge success for the ANC in these elections

Thus therefore, this branch serves as a place where members (of ANC) exercise their basic democratic rights to discuss and formulate policy. The branch covers the Arcadia geographical area of ward 92 in Tshwane region, Gauteng Province.
